Frequently Asked Questions

For Argonne employees:

Q: How will I get my gate pass for access to the Laboratory?

A: For non-Argonne attendees, a gate pass is automatically processed for your Users Meeting visit to Argonne as a result of your completing a RegOnline registration. The pass is based on the dates you provide for your arrival and departure.

You can pick up your gate pass at the Argonne Information Center during normal business hours or at the Guard House at the Main Gate during weekends or off-hours.

If you are a U.S. citizen, you must show a photo ID to claim your gate pass.

IF YOU ARE NOT A U.S. CITIZEN, you must complete an APS Visitor Registration form BEFORE YOU TRAVEL. The link to this form will be given in the confirmation e-mail that you will receive after you complete your RegOnline registration. Completing this form starts an approval process. If access is approved, a gate pass will be waiting for you when you arrive. You will also receive instructions about what forms of identification to bring with you. You will need to show this identification when you claim your gate pass.

Q: How do I submit my poster session abstract?

A: Abstracts for the poster session are submitted through your Users Meeting RegOnline record. In your registration record, go to the Personal Information page, look under Other Info, and use the Upload button.

When you answer “yes” to the question "Will you be presenting an abstract at the poster session?" you will be prompted to identify the facility you wish to have your poster affiliated with (APS or CNM) and the science category you wish to have your abstract grouped with.

After that, you can upload your abstract using the Add File link. Be sure to click the "Upload" button to complete the process!

A style sample is available in the Posters section of this site. Please upload only .doc or .pdf files, and use only alphanumeric characters in the file name. Graphics cannot be used in the program book.
